Welcome author Anne Welch

Getting to Know Bestselling Author, Anne Welch

When did you know, you wanted to become a writer? Talk about your background.

Anne: I think I always knew I wanted to write. I grew up in a very small town in South Carolina. From a young age, I loved to read and make up my own stories. As I got older I began writing songs. Music had always been a big part of my childhood as well. I sang and acted in church plays. After high school I decided to pursue songwriting and moved to Nashville, TN. I had moderate success and even had a couple of my songs on the radio. But I soon realized that didn’t pay the bills so I went to work in the medical field. For years, I continued to write lyrics and short stories and one day I met Author Anna Kristell. We became fast friends and I worked as her assistant for a couple of years. I shared my love of writing with her and showed her some of my stories. She encouraged me to give writing books a shot. Through her guidance and encouragement, I published my first book, It’s An Anne Thing, in 2014. This book quickly became a best seller for me in humor/satire. By the end of 2017 I will have published my 7th book.

What genres do you write? Do you have a preference?

Anne: I always tell people I have two sides and each one balances the other out. One is my humorous side. I love to laugh and make people laugh. So naturally I began with humor/satire books, It’s An Anne Thing, and It’s An Anne Thing Two. In these books, you learn about my love for houseboys, hot neighbor and duct tape. Some people think those books are entirely fiction but several of the stories are true. My other side is darker and more serious and I channel those in my contemporary and romantic suspense books. My contemporary series called Carolina Series is based on the small town I grew up in. The first book Carolina Hope is out now. Carolina Longing and Carolina Faith will be out very soon. I also just had the privilege of being a part of Paige Tyler’s Dallas Fire and Rescue Kindle World series. My first book Burning Fury is out now.

I love connecting with my readers. I promise to try to make you laugh daily. Readers Can Find Anne:
